Neighborhood Forest Free Tree Program
It’s FREE tree time! Somersworth Public Library is partnering with Neighborhood Forest to provide free trees for kids to plant during Earth Week. 🌎🌲 Parents/guardians, sign your child up today for a free tree by March 15th! Trees are set to arrive in time for Earth Day 2025. We will notify you once your child’s tree is ready for pickup here at the library! 💚
A little background on Neighborhood Forest – this non-profit organization gives free trees to kids every Earth Day! Since 2010, Neighborhood Forest has mobilized over 2,000 schools, libraries, and youth groups – engaged over 500,000 volunteers – and planted over 197,000 (mostly urban and residential) trees through the hands of children and parents across North America. Their goal is to:
- Beautify our neighborhoods
- Reduce our carbon footprint
- Help instill in the hearts of our little ones a sense of magic, wonder, and love for our planet.
